Production & Assembly
Production & Assembly is for businesses that make or assemble what they sell: a bakery, a workshop, a packing line. You write down a bill of materials, then run work orders that take the materials out of stock when work starts and add the finished goods when it is complete.
It is used by the production lead and whoever records output and quality. It works with Inventory for materials and finished goods; it can also run without stock links, as a record of what was made.
Start with Create a bill of materials.
- Create a bill of materialsList the components, quantities and costs that make one batch of a product, and publish the bill so work orders can use it.
- Run a work orderPlan a work order from a bill of materials, release and start it to use the materials, then complete it with good output, waste and quality.
