See who did what in the activity log

The activity log is your organisation's record of who did what: who changed a price, approved a bill, changed someone's rights or opened an employee's document. The owner and managers can read it.

Steps

  1. Open Team → Activity log.
  2. Pick the period with From and To, and choose Apply.
  3. Read each entry: the Time, Who, What they did and the Device.

What is recorded

  • Changes to the team, such as invitations, roles and rights.
  • Important steps in the apps, such as approvals and payments.
  • Every look at a salary or an employee document in HR.
  • Calls made with your API keys and by connected assistant apps are logged too, with the time, the key and the action, never the data sent.

Good to know

  • The activity log keeps 13 months. For longer records, export what you need each year, for example the Books reports.
  • Each app also keeps its own history where it matters, such as a document's numbers or a payroll run's steps.
