Switch on two-step sign-in
With two-step sign-in, signing in on a new device needs two things: the code from your e-mail and a code from an authenticator app on your phone. Someone who gets into your mailbox still cannot get into Kluvan.
Before you start
Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or any other app that shows 6-digit codes.
Steps
- Open Settings and choose Two-step sign-in, then Set up.
- On your phone, choose Open in the authenticator app. On a computer, type the Key shown into the app instead.
- Save your Recovery codes somewhere safe, away from your phone: print them or keep them in a password manager. Each works once if the phone is lost.
- Type the 6-digit code the app now shows in Code (6 digits) and choose Verify.
The page now says Two-step is on. From now on, after the e-mail code Kluvan asks for the Second step: type the code from the app, or a recovery code.
Turn it off or replace the phone
On the same page, type a current code (or a recovery code) and choose Turn two-step off. Then choose Set up again with the new phone.
Good to know
- Two-step is per person: each person switches it on for their own account. Owners and managers should all use it.
- The page shows how many recovery codes are left. When few are left, turn two-step off and on again to get new ones.
- Lost the phone and the recovery codes? The owner can help a team member; an owner chats with us on WhatsApp.
