How signing in works
Kluvan signs you in three ways: a 6-digit code it e-mails to you, a password if you set one, or one click with your Google or Facebook account. The e-mail code always works, whichever other way you use.
- Open app.kluvan.com, type your e-mail and choose Send the code.
- Type the code from the e-mail. It works for 10 minutes; if you asked for several, only the newest works.
- If you switched on two-step sign-in, type the code from your authenticator app too.
A browser stays signed in for 30 days from the last time you used it. On a shared computer, sign out when you finish: open your account menu and choose Log out.
Sign in with Google or Facebook
- On the sign-in page, choose Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook.
- Pick your account in the Google or Facebook window. Some browsers instead show a small Google prompt at the top of the page: choose your account there.
- If you have no Kluvan account yet, one is made for you with your name, your e-mail and your browser's language, and your free trial starts. If your Google e-mail already has a Kluvan account, Google is linked to it and you are in.
- Facebook: if Facebook does not share your e-mail, or it belongs to an existing account, Kluvan sends a 6-digit code to that address first.
- Two-step sign-in still applies: after Google or Facebook, type the code from your authenticator app.
If Google's window does not open (a pop-up blocker), choose Google's window didn't open? Continue on Google's page.
To see or change your ways in, open your account menu and choose Ways to sign in. There you can link Google or Facebook, or unlink them; the e-mail code always stays. Kluvan receives only your name, e-mail address and profile picture link from Google or Facebook, keeps the name and e-mail, and never posts anything for you.
Change your e-mail address
- Open your account menu and choose My e-mail.
- Type the new address. Kluvan sends a code to it.
- Type the code. Nothing changes until you do.
If you lose access
- You no longer read that mailbox. The owner can change a team member's e-mail on the Team page.
- The owner lost access. Chat with us on WhatsApp (+1 (650) 442-5630) with the Tenant id shown on Plan & usage; we check who you are before we help.
- You lost the phone with your authenticator app. Use one of your recovery codes. See Two-step sign-in.
The Lost your sign-in? page in the app explains the same cases.
Good to know
- Kluvan never asks for your code by phone, chat or e-mail. Never share it, not even with us.
- After several wrong codes, signing in pauses for a few minutes.
- People you invite accept by e-mail within 7 days: see Invite your team.
- Customers who use your customer portal sign in to the portal only: their sign-in never opens your Kluvan.
