Choose who can manage Studio
Changing Studio changes Kluvan for the whole organisation, so it takes its own right. The owner and managers have it. You can give it to a team member, for example an operations lead who looks after your fields and templates.
Before you start
- You must be the owner or a manager. See Roles and rights.
- Studio is in every paid plan.
Steps
- Open Team → Users and pick the person.
- Open Rights and find Manage Studio (fields, layouts, statuses, rules, templates).
- Tick it and select Save. From their next page, the person sees the Studio editors.

What each person can do
| Person | In Studio |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything; always sees and edits every custom field |
| Manager, or a team member with the right | Add and change fields, layouts, statuses, approval limits and templates; publish and go back; share saved views and set default views; read the change history |
| Everyone else | Fill in the custom fields they may edit on records; save private views of a list; open the Studio overview, Saved views, Forms and Analytics as their other rights allow |
Good to know
- Who sees and edits each custom field is set on the field itself (Who sees it, Who can change it), by role: managers, team members, field staff and self-service seats.
- Every change made with this right is in the change history, with the person's name.
- People with the right see Today items for Studio drafts waiting to be published.
- Related: Add a custom field, Set an approval limit.
