Save a view of a list
A saved view keeps the way you look at a list: its filters, columns, sort and grouping. Your views appear as tabs above the list, next to the list's own views, so you get back to "My open projects this quarter" in one click.
Before you start
- Anyone can save a private view. Sharing a view with the team, or making it a role's default, needs the right Manage Studio (fields, layouts, statuses, rules, templates).
- Saved views are available on the Projects list.
Steps
- Open the list and set its filters, columns, sort and grouping the way you want.
- Select + Save view after the tabs.
- Type the View name.
- To share it, tick Share with the team. Shared views show with a ★.
- To open the list on this view for a role, tick the role under Open by default for.
- Select Save. The view appears as a tab.
To manage views:
- Open Studio → Saved views. Every view you can open is listed, with the list it belongs to.
- Open a view to select Open the list on this view, rename it, change who it is shared with or its default roles, and select Save.
- Select Remove to delete a view you made.

Good to know
- A view keeps the list's address and query. Opening it reads the list as usual, so it always shows today's records.
- A view must be shared before it can be a role's default. When a person of that role opens the list, it opens on that view.
- Creating, changing and removing views is written to the Studio change history.
- Up to 50 views per list.
- Other lists do not show saved-view tabs.
