Record time and approve timesheets
The Time page is where each person records their hours on projects and sees their own tasks. It is made for a phone browser. Managers use the same page to approve each person's week.
Before you start
- Projects must be switched on. The page offers the projects you manage or have a task on.
- To approve, you need the right Approve the team's time.
Steps
To clock your time:
- Open Projects → Time in your phone's browser.
- Under Clock, choose the project, or one of its tasks.
- Select Clock in. The page shows which project you are on and since when.
- When you stop, add a note if you want and select Clock out.
To type hours instead:
- Open Add hours.
- Choose the project or task and the Date.
- Type the hours, for example
1.5or1:30. - Untick Billable if the customer should not pay for this time.
- Select Add.

Good to know
- The page works in a phone's web browser and needs a connection: nothing is saved offline. It has not yet been tried on real phones, so tell us if something does not fit your screen.
- The page never shows contract values or costs.
- One person can have only one running clock. A clocked entry counts at least one minute and at most 24 hours. Typed hours cannot be for a day after today.
- Approved time is locked. A sent-back entry goes back to its person, who corrects it so it waits again.
- Nobody approves their own time, except the owner.
- Each entry keeps the hourly cost and billing rate of the day it was recorded. See Set up projects.
- Only approved, billable time goes on time-and-materials invoices.
