Publish and share the registration page

When you publish an event, it gets a public page on your organisation's address. People choose their tickets there, register without an account and get their QR tickets by e-mail.

Before you start

  • You need the right Run events (edit, publish, attendees, waitlist, guests).
  • Your organisation needs a public address. If it has none, the event page says The organisation has no public address yet, so the event has no public page. Select Set the address to choose one.

Steps

  1. Open Events and select the event.
  2. Select Publish. The message Published: the public page is live. appears.
  3. Under Public page, copy the link, or print the QR code next to it for posters and flyers.
  4. Share the link in your messages, social media posts or your website.
  5. To pause registration, select Stop sales. To start again, select Reopen sales.

What people do on the page

  1. They choose how many of each ticket type, then type their name, e-mail and, if they like, their phone.
  2. They tick the news box if they want news and offers from you (when you ask for it).
  3. They select Register. Free tickets are confirmed at once; paid ones go to payment.
  4. They get an e-mail with a link to their tickets. The page shows a QR code per ticket and says Show the QR code at the door. Each ticket lets one person in once. For an online event it shows Join online.
  5. When a type is Sold out, they can Join the waitlist. If a seat frees up, they get an e-mail offering it.

Good to know

  • All your events are also listed on one page, Events at your organisation's name, with the upcoming ones.
  • Reminders go by e-mail before the start, at the hours set in Events settings.
  • Your refund policy is shown on the page and in the tickets e-mail.
  • Sales closed. Outside the sales window, after Stop sales or once the event has ended, the page says registration is not open.
  • Busy moments. When many people register at once and the last seats go, some see that not enough seats are left, with the number still free.
  • Attendees as contacts. Each person becomes a contact found by e-mail; CRM lists them only when they ticked the news box.
  • Next: check people in at the door and manage attendees and the waitlist.
