Read the key figures and how they are calculated

Above the list, Key figures shows the few numbers that matter for your job. Every figure says how it is calculated and lists the records that make it, so you never have to take a number on trust.

Before you start

  • Money figures come from Books; Jobs completed comes from Field jobs. Without those apps the card says that no figures are here yet.
  • Amounts show only to people who may see money (see who sees which items).

Steps

  1. Open Owner workspace → Needs attention.
  2. Next to Key figures, choose a profile in Figures for: Owner, Accountant, Sales, Collector or Operations.
  3. Read each tile: the figure, the change against last month where there is one, and a short line under it.
  4. Select a figure, or How is this calculated? under it. Its page opens.
  5. Read the rule in plain words and the inputs table: each Input, its Value, Where from and Filter.
  6. Under The records, see each record with its date and amount. The line above says Together: … the same as the figure when the records add up to it.
  7. Select Open in with the app's name to work on the records there.

Good to know

  • One calculation everywhere. The Books owner dashboard and the workspace show the same number, from the same rule.
  • When the records do not add up to the figure, the page says so and sends you to the app to see why.
  • A ratio (DSO, quotes accepted) lists its inputs instead of records.
  • Long lists show the first records; open the full list in the app.
  • Jobs completed counts jobs in your own branch; the invoiced count is shown to coordinators.
  • Related: see what needs your attention.
