Set up your daily brief
The daily brief is a short message once a day: the top 10 items of your attention list and what changed since yesterday (new and resolved). You choose the time and where it goes.
Before you start
- Each person sets their own brief. The owner's is on at 08:00 in Kluvan until they change it; everyone else's is off until they switch it on.
- Telegram is for the owner only, when your plan includes Telegram and your organisation's bot is set in Settings → Integrations (see Telegram).
Steps
- Open Owner workspace → Daily brief (or select Daily brief at the top of the workspace).
- Tick Send me the daily brief.
- Set the Time.
- Under Where, In Kluvan (the bell) is always on. Tick By e-mail to your address and, for the owner, By Telegram (the organisation's bot) if you want them.
- Select Save. The message Your daily brief is saved. appears.
[SHOT owner-brief 960x600]Screenshot to come: Owner workspace → Daily brief: Send me the daily brief ticked, Time 08:00, Where with In Kluvan (the bell) always on, By e-mail ticked, By Telegram (the organisation's bot) ticked, the line 'Last sent on …' and the Save button
What the brief contains
- A heading with the number of items on your list and your organisation's name.
- What changed since yesterday: how many items are new and how many were resolved.
- The top 10 items of your list, most urgent first, each with what happens if it is ignored, and how many more there are.
- A link to the Owner workspace.
Good to know
- Once a day, exactly. You get one brief per day, at your time, even if Kluvan runs on several servers.
- Your own scope. The brief lists what you would see on your own list: the owner's and managers' cover the organisation; a team member's covers their items and their role's.
- An empty list is still sent. The brief then says that nothing needs attention.
- The WhatsApp choice on this page sends nothing at present. Use the bell, e-mail or Telegram.
- E-mail goes to the address on your profile. An address that bounced or marked our mail as spam gets nothing.
- Last sent on shows the day the last brief went out.
- Related: owner alerts for single events as they happen.
