Send a link to pay one invoice
This feature is in early access: it is built and tested, but not yet switched on for every organisation or not yet tried with the outside provider. Ask us on WhatsApp if you would like to try it.
Sometimes the person who pays has no portal account, or you want a one-off payment. A pay link opens one invoice: the holder sees it and pays all or part of it on Paymob's page, with no sign-in. This is early access, like paying in the portal.
Before you start
- Your organisation's own Paymob account is connected in Settings → Payments (the Paymob card).
- The customer company has portal access (see give a customer or supplier access).
- You need the Customer access right and the Books right Manage sales documents and payments.
Steps
Make a link
- Open Portal → Companies and select the customer.
- Under Pay links, find the open invoice by its number, due date and balance.
- Select Make a pay link.
- Copy the address in the green box at once: Copy this link now; it is shown only once.
- Send it to the customer yourself, for example by e-mail or WhatsApp.
What the customer sees
- The link opens the invoice with its lines and what is still to pay, and This link works until a date.
- Under Pay online, they keep or change the amount and select Pay, then pay on Paymob's page.
- The page also offers See everything in one place: they can ask you to add them to the portal.
Follow and withdraw links
- Open Portal → Links. Each link shows the invoice Number, the Company, Payments used, the day it Ends and its State (Works, Ended or Withdrawn).
- To stop a link, select Remove access in its row.
Good to know
- A link from this page works for 14 days and for one payment, whichever ends first.
- It ends by itself when the invoice is paid or voided, the Portal app is switched off, or its days or payment are used up. The holder then sees This link does not work any more.
- Shown once. Kluvan keeps only a fingerprint of the link, never the address itself, so a lost link cannot be shown again: withdraw it and make a new one.
- One invoice only. The link opens nothing else: no other invoice, no statement, no account.
- Payments are booked in Books exactly as from the portal, once, on Paymob's confirmation.
- Purchase order and request-for-quotation links are Procurement's own and work as before.
