Inspect a delivery, equipment or a job
An inspection always belongs to a record: what you checked. Starting from the record fills in the record for you, and the record's page then lists its inspections and non-conformances.
Before you start
- You need Fill in quality inspections.
- The app that holds the record must be switched on: Procurement for deliveries and orders, Services or Work delivery for equipment and jobs, Production for work orders.
Steps for a delivery
- Open the purchase order's receiving page in Procurement.
- Under the goods receipt, select Inspect this delivery (goods receipt).
- Check the Quantities: Quantity inspected comes from the delivered quantity and Quantity rejected from the damaged quantity of the receipt. Change them to what you found.
- Answer the template's questions and select Submit.

Steps for other records
- Open the equipment, the field job or the production work order.
- Select Inspect next to its Linked block.
- Pick the template, answer, and select Submit.
What can be inspected
| Record | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Goods receipt | Procurement, with quantities inspected and rejected |
| Purchase order | Procurement |
| Equipment and Field job | Services and Work delivery |
| Production work order | Production |
| Fixed asset, Product | Fixed assets, Inventory |
| Supplier, Site or area | A supplier audit, a walk round a site |
For a supplier, an asset, a product or a site, start from Quality → New inspection and type the record's number or code.
Good to know
- Any rejected quantity fails an incoming inspection and opens a non-conformance with the supplier, marked Return to supplier. The supplier's score follows. See Follow supplier quality.
- The Linked block on the supplier, purchase order, equipment, work order and job shows how many inspections, failures and open non-conformances it has, and links to them.
- A template for one kind of record cannot inspect another kind; a template for Any record inspects all.
- Not found? The page says That record was not found. Check the kind and the number.
- A production work order completed in Production as failed does not open a non-conformance by itself: inspect it from its page.
