Quality

Quality is where you check that goods, equipment and work are right, and fix what is not. A quality manager writes inspection templates once; inspectors fill them in on the phone, with photos, against a goods receipt, a piece of equipment, a job, a work order, a supplier or a site. A failed inspection opens a non-conformance, and its corrective actions are closed only when a second person has verified them.

It works with Procurement (incoming inspection of deliveries and supplier quality), Services and Work delivery (equipment and field jobs), Production (work orders), Forms (templates from a form), Workflows (escalation) and the supplier portal. • Handle a non-conformanceA failed inspection opens a non-conformance with its severity, owner and due day. Find the root cause, choose the disposition, plan actions and close it.
• Plan and verify corrective actionsPlan corrective and preventive actions with an owner and a due day. The owner marks one done; a second person verifies and closes it, or sends it back.
• Follow supplier quality and share itSee each supplier's quality score, grade and reject rate, its non-conformances, and what it sees about quality in the supplier portal.
