Inspect on your phone, even offline

Inspections are made for the phone: one question per card, large yes and no buttons, and the camera for photos. If the connection drops when you send, the phone keeps the inspection and sends it when the line is back.

Before you start

• You need Fill in quality inspections. It works on field and restricted seats.
• A quality manager must have written a template. See Build an inspection template.

Steps

1. The easiest start is the record itself: open the delivery, equipment, job or work order and select Inspect. See Inspect a delivery, equipment or a job. Otherwise open Quality and select New inspection.
2. Under What are you inspecting?, pick the Template, the Record kind, and type Its number or code. Pick the branch if you work in several.
3. Select Continue. The page shows the record, and its supplier when there is one.
4. Answer each question: tap Yes or No, type the reading, pick a choice or write a note.
5. Where a photo is needed, tap the photo field and take the picture. You can add several.
6. Add a Note (optional) for anything else.
7. Select Submit. The page says Submitted: the inspection passed. or Submitted: the inspection failed.
8. To finish later, select Save draft instead.

Without a connection

Open the inspection form while you have a connection. If the line is gone when you select Submit, the page says No connection: kept on this phone; it is sent once the line is back. The form clears for the next one. When the connection returns, the phone sends what it kept, photos included, and says The inspections kept on this phone were sent. Until then it shows how many inspections wait on the phone.

Good to know

• Never twice. Each inspection carries its own key. If it is sent again, Kluvan answers This inspection was already saved; it was not made twice.
• A draft has no effect: nothing fails and no non-conformance opens until you submit. Your drafts show on the overview and on Today as Finish inspection. On submit, a missing answer or photo keeps it as a draft and lists what is Still missing:.
• A submitted inspection cannot change.
• A failed inspection shows What failed and, by default, This inspection opened non-conformance with a link. See Handle a non-conformance.
• Only the inspection is kept on the phone: no stock or money moves offline.
• Photos are stored with the inspection and count towards your storage.
