Edit pages and blocks

Every page of your site is a list of blocks, from top to bottom. You fill each block in a plain form, per language, and move blocks up or down. Your changes stay in the draft until someone publishes them.

Before you start

  • You need the right Edit the website and read its form submissions.

Steps

  1. Open Sites. Under Pages, select a page's title to open it.
  2. Under Page details, check the Page title, the page's Address (lowercase letters, digits and dashes) and Show in the site's menu. Select Save.
  3. If the site has more than one language, pick the language in the tabs at the top. Each tab has its own words.
  4. In a block, change its Title (or Headline on a banner), its Short text or Text, and its Button text. Leave an empty line between paragraphs. Select Save under the block.
  5. To reorder blocks, use the up and down arrows on the block. To drop one, select Remove.
  6. To add a block, pick it under Add a block and select Add. The blocks are:
    • Banner: a headline, a short text and one button, with a Look of Coloured band or Plain.
    • Text: paragraphs.
    • Services: up to 12 services, each with a Description.
    • Products and services: products from your catalogue. Type a Category (empty shows every category), How many to show, and tick Show prices if you want prices on the site.
    • Testimonials: what customers say and Who said it.
    • Form, Booking button, Button and Contact details (your phone, WhatsApp and address from your settings).
  7. In a banner or a button, type the Link: a page of the site such as /about, #form for the form on this page, @book for your booking page, @shop for your online orders page, or a full address starting https://.
  8. To add a page, go back to Sites, type a Page title, choose Page or Landing page under Kind, and select Add page. Use the arrows in the Pages list to change the menu order.
  9. To remove a page, open it, tick I want to remove this page and select Remove page. The home page cannot be removed.

Good to know

  • Arabic and Urdu are edited right to left, and the public pages read right to left.
  • One form per page. A second form on the same page is refused.
  • Broken links are refused. A link to a page that no longer exists, or an address that is not a page, #form, @book, @shop, https://, mailto: or tel:, stops the site from being published until you fix it. The Website page lists what to fix under Fix these before publishing:.
  • Limits: 20 pages, 30 blocks a page, 12 entries in a services or testimonials list.
  • If someone else changed the site at the same moment, your change is refused: reload the page and try again.
  • Related: build a landing page with a form and booking and quote buttons.
