Set the site's languages, look and words
Site settings hold what applies to the whole site: its languages, its colour, the words that appear on every page, and the rules for forms. Changes here go live the next time someone publishes.
Before you start
- You need the right Edit the website and read its form submissions.
Steps
- Open Sites and select Site settings.
- Under Languages and look, tick the site's Languages. A new language starts as a copy of the default language's words; translate them afterwards in each page's language tab.
- Pick the Default language. It is the site's plain address; the other languages live under their own prefix, such as
/ar/about. - Type the Public e-mail shown in the contact block, or leave it empty to show none.
- Pick an Accent colour.
- Tick or clear Let search engines list the site, Forms need the consent box ticked and Show the Inbox web chat on every page. Select Save.
- Under Site words, pick a language tab, then type the Site name, the Tagline (one line that search results show under the name) and the Footer text.
- Type your own Consent text, News and offers box text and Thank-you message, or leave them empty to use the standard words. Select Save.
- Repeat step 7 and 8 for each language.

Good to know
- Right to left. Arabic and Urdu pages are built right to left, with their own menu, and visitors can switch language from the page.
- Which languages. A site can use any of Kluvan's interface languages.
- Consent text. The standard text says the visitor agrees that your organisation may contact them about the request and keep their details for that purpose. Make your own text match your privacy notice and the rules of each country where you work; Kluvan does not check it.
- Thank-you message. A form's own message wins over the site's. The thank-you page is not listed by search engines.
- Web chat. The chat box can be ticked only when the web chat is on in the Inbox. See Add web chat, booking and order buttons.
- Public address. The Public address card at the top shows the site's address. Only a manager can change it.
