Good to know
What Sites does by itself on every published page:
- tells search engines which address is the page's main one, and which pages are the same page in another language;
- builds the preview pictures and text that appear when someone shares a page on social media or in a chat;
- lists every page in every language in a sitemap, and adds the robots file search engines read;
- describes your organisation in the form search engines understand.
Also:
- Clearing the listing box asks search engines not to list the site. Pages already in their results may take some time to drop out.
- Landing pages can be listed too; share their address only where you want it.
- The thank-you page is never listed.
