Add web chat, booking and order buttons

Your site can lead visitors straight to the other apps you use: a chat with your team in the Inbox, your booking page in Bookings, a quote request, your catalogue and your online orders. Each one shows only while its app is on.

Before you start

• You need the right Edit the website and read its form submissions.
• For the chat: the Inbox, with its web chat switched on. For the booking button: Bookings with online bookings accepted. For order links: Commerce with its online orders on.

Steps

The Inbox web chat

1. Open Inbox settings and tick Offer the chat on my website. Set the chat's title and greeting there.
2. Open Sites → Site settings and tick Show the Inbox web chat on every page. Select Save.
3. Publish the site. The chat box appears on every page; visitors' chats arrive in the Inbox.

A booking button

1. Open a page and add the Booking button block (or use a Banner or Button with the link @book).
2. Type its Title, Short text and Button text, such as Book now. Select Save.

A quote request

1. Add a Form block and choose Request a quote as the Form kind. The form asks the visitor what they need.
2. Each request becomes a lead in CRM marked as a quote request. See Build a landing page with a form.

Products and online orders

1. Add the Products and services block, type a Category and How many, and tick Show prices if you want them shown. Products and their pictures come from your catalogue.
2. To send visitors to your online orders page, add a Button with the link @shop.

Good to know

• Hidden while off. When Bookings is off, the editor warns The booking page is not on, so this button is not shown. and visitors do not see it. The order link behaves the same way.
• The chat script is the only script on your public pages, and only while the chat box is ticked.
• Prices follow your catalogue. Clear Show prices to show products without them.
