Try Kluvan with sample data

Not ready to bring your own lists yet? Load a realistic sample and look around: products with pictures and stock, categories, customers and suppliers. When you are done, remove it with one click. What you added yourself stays.

Before you start

• Only the owner can load or remove sample data. A manager sees whether it is loaded.
• Sample data can be loaded only into an organisation that has no sales of its own yet.
• The sample must fit your plan's product limit; if it does not, nothing is added and Kluvan says so.

Steps

Load the sample

1. Open the Getting-started checklist, or Settings → Data.
2. On the Try with sample data card, press Load sample data.
3. Wait for the message that the sample data is in.
4. Look around: products, stock, customers and suppliers now have something to show.

Remove the sample

1. Open the Getting-started checklist, or Settings → Data.
2. On the card, press Remove sample data.
3. Confirm. Kluvan takes out only the sample rows.

Good to know

• The sample follows the type of business you chose (café, restaurant, pharmacy, clothes, or a general grocery list for every other type) and comes with names and prices for Egypt or the UAE. Other countries get the default list.
• Every sample row is marked as sample. The checklist's steps never count it: your first product is still your first product.
• A product, customer or supplier you add while the sample is there is yours, and stays when you remove the sample.
• A product whose name or barcode you already have is left out of the sample.
• Categories the sample added go with it, unless one of your own products uses them.
• Loading twice does nothing the second time. Only one load or removal runs at a time; if you see "busy", wait a moment and try again.
• Once your organisation has sales of its own, the card says only that sample data goes into an organisation that has not sold yet. If the sample is still there, you can still remove it.
• Ready for your real lists? Remove the sample, then import your lists.
