Connect a live Google Sheet

Early access

This feature is in early access: it is built and tested, but not yet switched on for every organisation or not yet tried with the outside provider. Ask us on WhatsApp if you would like to try it.

Open Settings → Google Sheets (/settings/google-sheets). This connection appears as available only when Google setup and your plan permit it. Use an account that can read the source spreadsheet.

  1. Choose Connect Google Sheets and approve read-only Google access. Kluvan reads the sheet; it does not edit it.
  2. Enter its URL or ID and a bounded range such as Sheet1!A1:H1001. Include a heading row. Choose products, customers or suppliers. The limit is 1,000 data rows and 40 columns.
  3. Preview, open the import review, check column mappings and findings, then confirm the initial import.
  4. Enable the monitored source. Optionally allow automatic addition of new identities. Leave that option off if every import needs review.
  5. Use Check now or allow the 30-minute polling cycle. Inspect activity and any review batch.

Existing records are never overwritten unattended. Changed or removed source rows require review or explicit acknowledgement. Use the keep-local choice when you want Kluvan’s existing record to remain. Rechecking unchanged data does not create duplicates. A removed sheet row is not an instruction to delete a business record.

Pause stops monitoring. Disconnect removes the connection; already imported records remain. Reconnect if Google access expires or is revoked. Resolve a failed or partial import through its existing batch rather than creating duplicate source identities.

Google reading and ordinary mapping consume no AI credits. Optional AI mapping requires separate sample-sharing consent and available AI usage; it shares at most 40 headings and two short samples per heading, and its suggestions still need review. CSV, Excel and pasted tables remain available through Bring your data.

Google connection rollout

Kluvan’s Google branding is published and its OAuth audience is in production. Google has not yet verified the read-only Sheets permission, so it may show an unverified-app warning. Until verification is approved, Google applies a lifetime limit of 100 OAuth users; this is not a monthly allowance. A demonstration video is still required before Kluvan can submit the verification request.

If Google prevents you from connecting, use CSV or Excel import while verification is pending, or contact Kluvan support. Do not bypass Google’s security warnings. Your already imported records remain available independently of the Google connection.
