Change, revoke or review a firm's access

The access you give a firm is never fixed. You can change the areas, branches and end date at any time, revoke it in one click, and read a log of every time the firm's people opened your organisation and changed something.

Before you start

  • Changing and revoking is for the organisation's owner. Managers can see the firms and their work in the Accountant app.

Steps

Change the access

  1. Open Settings → Accountant & partners. Each firm with access has a card marked Active, with What the firm may see and do, Branches, Access ends on, People of the firm working here and Given by.
  2. On the firm's card, open Change the access.
  3. Change the levels, the branches or the end date.
  4. Select Save. The page says Access changed.

Revoke the access

  1. On the firm's card, select Revoke access now.
  2. The page says Access revoked. The firm's sessions have ended. The firm moves to Earlier access with the state Revoked.

Read what the firm did

  1. Scroll to What the firm's people did.
  2. Read each line: When, Firm, Person and What, for example Opened the organisation, Made a change or Refused: outside the access given. A change also shows the address of the page it was made on.

Good to know

  • Changes count on the next click. Each page the firm's people open is checked against the access as it is now. Narrowing an area, revoking or passing the end date ends their work at once; they see pws_access_ended.
  • The history stays. Revoking does not remove anything the firm did. The firm keeps only who, when and what access it had.
  • Expired access moves to Earlier access with the state Expired. To work with the firm again, give it access again.
  • Every change by the firm is also in your audit log, named "person (firm)". See the activity log.
  • The log on this page shows the latest 100 entries. Reading a page is not logged line by line: opening your organisation is.
  • If your organisation is deleted, the firm keeps only a line saying the organisation was deleted, without its name or figures.
