Give your accountant access
When your accountant or implementation partner works in Kluvan, give the firm access instead of sharing a sign-in. The firm's people work with their own e-mail codes, only in the areas and branches you choose, and you can take the access back at any moment.
Before you start
- Only the organisation's owner gives, changes and revokes access. Managers can see which firm has access in the Accountant app.
- Ask the firm for its partner code (shown on its partner portal) or the e-mail address it signs in to the partner portal with. A firm without an account signs up at partners.kluvan.com first (see Refer clients as a Kluvan partner).
- Accountant access is included in every plan, for one firm at a time. Nothing else to switch on.
Steps
- Open Settings → Accountant & partners.
- Select Give an accountant access. The form opens at the bottom of the page.
- In The firm's partner code or e-mail, type the code (for example CODE20) or the firm's address.
- Under What the firm may see and do, choose a level for each area: No access, Read only or Full. For HR and payroll (personal data) you can also choose Payroll, read only.
- If your organisation has several branches, tick the branches the firm may work in. Leave them all unticked for every branch.
- Optional: pick a date in Access ends on. The firm can work until the end of that day.
- Optional: add a Note, for example "Year-end audit 2026".
- Select Give access. The page says Access given. The firm can open your organisation now.

Good to know
- The defaults are Books in full, the other areas read only, and no HR. Change them before you give access.
- Full lets the firm change records in that area; Read only lets it look. Some places are closed to every firm whatever you choose: your plan and billing, exports and data deletion, API and other keys, your team and sign-ins, devices, support, and this access page itself.
- No seat is used. The firm's people are not members of your organisation and do not appear in your team.
- One firm at a time is included. To change firms, revoke the current one first; otherwise Kluvan answers pws_one_firm.
- A wrong code or address gives pws_firm_unknown: check it with the firm.
- The firm's admin decides which of its people work on your organisation, and none of them gets more than you allowed.
- Next: change, revoke or review a firm's access. If the firm asked you first, see approve or refuse a firm's request.
