Answer your accountant's requests
Your accountant may need a bank statement, a signed form or an answer to a question. The firm asks in Kluvan, you answer on the request with a file if needed, and the firm sees your answer at once. No e-mail threads to search later.
Before you start
- You need to be the owner or a manager of the organisation.
- A firm must have access (see give your accountant access).
Steps
- When the firm asks for something, you see it on Today ("… asks: …"), and by e-mail or WhatsApp if your notification preferences say so.
- Open Accountant → Requests. Each request shows what is needed, who asked and when, the due date and its state, for example Waiting for the client. A late request is marked Late.
- Open the request and read the note.
- Type your reply in Your answer.
- Optional: under Attach a file (optional), choose one file, such as a PDF of the statement or a photo of the document.
- Select Send the answer. The request becomes Answered and the firm sees it on its list.
- If the firm asks again or adds a detail, the reply appears under the request. Answer it the same way.

Your own steps and tasks
- Open Accountant. The tiles show Setup steps open, Requests waiting, the month being closed and Bank lines to match.
- Under Onboarding and Tasks, the steps given to You are yours. Select Open its screen to go where the step is done, then Mark done.
Good to know
- Files. One file per reply: PDF, pictures, Word, Excel or OpenDocument files, CSV or text. Files count towards your plan's storage allowance, and each time someone opens one it is recorded.
- The firm closes the request when it has reviewed your answer; it then shows Done. The firm can reopen it.
- A request takes up to 50 replies. For a new subject, the firm starts a new request.
- You can also add a task yourself under New task in Accountant, given to Your accountant or to You.
- Related: onboard a client with a checklist.
