See job profitability and export it
Job profitability adds up the margins of the jobs finished in a period, so you can see which customers, technicians or kinds of job earn money and which lose it. The worst margin comes first.
Before you start
- You need the right See job costs and margins.
- Jobs count here from the day the crew taps Finish job.
Steps
- Open Field jobs → Job profitability.
- Set From and To and select Show.
- Read the four tiles: Revenue with the number of jobs, Margin with how many jobs lost money, Collected with the invoiced amount, and Cash margin with the rework cost.
- Choose how to group the rows: Job, Customer, Technician, Job type or Project.
- Read each row: Jobs, Revenue, Labour, Materials, Other costs, Rework, Margin, Invoiced, Collected and Cash margin. A negative margin shows in red.
- Grouped by Job, select a job to open its margin on the job page.
- Select Export to download the rows you see as a CSV file.

Good to know
- A rework that is not charged counts on its original job, once. Collected is the net share of what the customer paid.
- Jobs without a job type or project show as (none) in those groupings. Set job types in Field work settings.
- The report covers the branch you are working in.
- An empty period shows No finished jobs in this period.
- People who see costs also get a Today item, and a banner on My jobs, when jobs lost money in the last 30 days.
- How each figure is worked out: Read a job's margin.
