Choose who sees prices and costs

Field jobs hides money by default from the people who do not need it. Two rights decide what each person sees: one for prices, one for costs and margins. The seat type sets which of them a person can hold.

Before you start

• You must be the owner or a manager to change rights. See Roles and rights.
• Know each person's seat: Field for technicians who work on the phone pages, full for the office. See Seats.

Who sees what

Steps

1. Open Team → Users and pick the person.
2. Open Rights and find the Services & Maintenance group.
3. For a technician who should quote extras with prices in front of the customer, tick See prices on field jobs (field seats: the money group).
4. For an office person who should see margins and profitability, tick See job costs and margins. This right cannot be ticked on a field seat.
5. Tick Manage Services & Maintenance for coordinators who plan, dispatch, review jobs and change Field work settings, and Invoice and record payments for Services & Maintenance for billing.
6. Select Save. The change applies to their next page.

Good to know

• Without the price right, a field seat sees no amounts anywhere: not on the job page, the extras, the work order, the work report or Today. Extras still show their state (Waiting for approval, Approved).
• A field seat cannot open the review queue, the dispatch board or Job profitability, and does not see maintenance plans.
• Kluvan removes hidden figures before they leave the server, so they are not in the page at all.
• Full seats keep seeing prices on work orders as they always did.
