Read the sales, profit and stock reports
The Reports pages bring together what your apps record. Each app also has its own reports, such as the Books financial statements or the HR headcount; these pages answer the everyday questions: how much did we sell, what made a profit, what is in stock.
Sales
Reports → Sales shows your sales for a period: the total, the number of sales documents and credit notes, the average, the items sold, the cost, the profit and the VAT. Sales are counted from invoices, credit notes and delivered online orders, so every app that issues sales documents through Books adds to them.
- Pick the period with From and To and choose Apply.
- With several branches, pick one branch or all of them.
Profit
Reports → Profit lists each product with its revenue (without VAT, after discounts), its cost, the profit and the margin. The VAT you collect is never counted as profit. Download it with CSV.
Stock
Reports → Stock shows the value of your stock (quantity × cost of the products you track stock for), what is low, out or expiring, and the period's movements by kind. Print the stock list gives a sheet for counting.
Branches
Reports → Branches puts one row per branch with the total below, from the same figures as each branch's own reports, so you can compare them side by side.
Good to know
- Your plan decides how far back the reports go; the page says so when it shows only the last days.
- For profit and loss, the balance sheet and cash flow, use the Books reports.
- For your own charts across apps, use Analytics.
