Settings → Payments

Early access

This feature is in early access: it is built and tested, but not yet switched on for every organisation or not yet tried with the outside provider. Ask us on WhatsApp if you would like to try it.

Settings → Payments connects your organisation's own payment account, so your customers pay you by card online. Kluvan never holds the money: payment links, invoices in the customer portal, event tickets, subscriptions and online orders are all paid into your account.

Important. Online payments are in early access. Paymob has been tested against Paymob's test environment, not yet against live payments. Test with your Paymob test keys before you rely on it.

Before you start

  • Only the owner can connect or disconnect a payment account. Other people see the page and the state of each card.
  • You need your own account with the provider. For Paymob: a Paymob merchant account in a country Paymob serves (Egypt or the UAE) and its keys.

The two cards

The page has one card per provider, with its state, for example Not connected or Connected.

  • Stripe is coming soon. Until Stripe is switched on for your organisation, its card says Not available yet. You cannot connect it before then.
  • Paymob is in early access: cards and mobile wallets with your own Paymob merchant account, in the countries Paymob serves (Egypt and the UAE). In another country its card says Not offered for your organisation's country.

Connect Paymob

  1. Open Settings → Payments.
  2. On the Paymob card, select Connect Paymob. The connection form opens.
  3. Paste your own Paymob keys. They are in your Paymob dashboard: Settings → API keys (API key, secret key, public key, HMAC secret) and Payment integrations (the card's integration ID). Start with test keys: nothing is charged.
  4. Select Connect.
  5. Select Check the connection. It shows the name of your Paymob account when the keys work.

Back on Settings → Payments, the Paymob card shows Connected, the Account and its Currency, and Test mode while you use test keys. Manage the connection opens the Paymob form again.

Choose the provider used first

When two providers are connected, a Use first card appears. Choose which one takes a payment in a currency both accept, or keep Automatic (the one suggested for your country), then select Save.

Disconnect

Open Manage the connection on the Paymob card and select Disconnect. Open payment links stop working. Payments already received stay in your account.
