Read the credit book report

The credit book report (called Credit book report in the sidebar's Reports group) tells you whether the credit book's follow-up works: how much came in on customers' accounts, how much of it followed a reminder, and whether customers kept their promises.

Before you start

  • The credit book must be switched on, and you need the Credit: who owes, record payments right.
  • For the Collections workspace (DSO, collectors, dispute reasons), see the Collections reports.

Steps

  1. Open Collections, then under Reports select Credit book report. You can also select Credit book report at the top of the Credit book page.
  2. Pick the period in From and To.
  3. In Paid within (days), type how many days after a reminder a payment should count as "paid after a reminder". For example 7.
  4. Select Show.
  5. Read the tiles:
    • Collected: everything paid on customers' accounts in the period, with the cash and card taken in the credit book shown apart;
    • Reminders sent: how many reminders went out, and how many of those customers paid within your number of days;
    • Paid after reminders: how much those customers paid;
    • Promises to pay: how many promises were made, and how many were kept and missed.
  6. Below the tiles, read By day (what came in each day) and the table of amounts by the person who recorded each payment.
  7. To keep a copy, select Print, Excel or CSV.

Good to know

  • What counts as collected. Every payment on customers' accounts: those taken in the credit book and, with Books on, Books receipts recorded in Books, on a Collections case, by a payment link or by matching a bank line.
  • Paid after a reminder looks at reminders sent by e-mail and those marked sent from the credit book's WhatsApp list. A reminder you skipped or snoozed does not count as sent. Collections' own reminders are counted in the Collections reports instead.
  • A promise still open at the end of the period is neither kept nor missed yet.
  • The report uses your organisation's time zone for its days.
  • Credit report in the same group lists every customer's balance, positive and negative, with Print the balances.
  • Related: send the credit book's reminders and record a payment.
