Read the Collections reports
The Collections reports answer "is our follow-up working?": how much came in and how, how long customers take to pay, whether promises are kept and reminders bring payments, and which collectors and dispute reasons stand out.
Before you start
- You need the right Collections: see cases. Without Collections: see amounts, money shows as a dash.
Steps
- Open Collections → Collections reports.
- Pick the period in From and To.
- In Paid within (days), type how many days after a reminder a payment still counts as following it, for example 7.
- Select Show.
- Read the tiles:
- Collected: everything received in the period, with the number of receipts;
- DSO (days): days sales outstanding, over the days shown under it;
- Promises: how many were made, and how many were kept, partly kept and missed;
- Reminders followed by a payment: how many reminded customers paid within your days, and how much;
- Written off: the amounts written off in the period.
- Read By payment method (cash, bank transfer, card, cheque, other).
- Read By collector: each collector's Collected, Promises kept and Cases closed.
- Read Dispute reasons: for each reason, the Count, the Amount, how many were Resolved and the Days to resolve.
- To keep a copy, select Print.

Good to know
- What counts as collected. Every Books receipt from a customer in the period, whichever way it was recorded: on a case, in the credit book, in Books, by a payment link or by matching a bank line.
- By collector counts each receipt for the customer's collector today; customers without a collector show under Not assigned.
- A promise still waiting at the end of the period is neither kept nor missed yet.
- Days follow your organisation's time zone.
- The overview shows the same key figures for now: DSO (days), Collected this month, Promises kept and Open cases (see work the case queue).
- The credit book's report (Credit book report under Reports in the sidebar) counts payments taken on customers' accounts and reminders from the credit book's own list; see read the credit book report.
