Track deals in the pipeline
The pipeline follows deals with other businesses, for example a supplier to restaurants or an agency, from the first contact to won or lost.
Before you start
- You need Change the CRM: tags, notes, consent, segments, campaigns, deals to create and move deals. See the CRM is enough to read the board.
Steps
- Open CRM → Pipeline.
- Scroll to New deal and fill in the deal: its title, the customer (optional), the value, the expected day, the owner (a member of your team), the next step and its day.
- To link a quote: when Books is on, pick one of this month's Books quotes; otherwise type the Quote number.
- Select Create the deal. It appears in the Lead column.
- To move it on, select the To … button on its card (for example To Contacted). Select Lost to close it as lost.
- Select a deal's title to open it below the board.
- In the open deal, change the details and select Save.
- To move it to any stage, pick the stage, type Why lost if it is lost, and select Move.
- Type a note and select Add.
- Choose a picture or a PDF and select Add the file.

The conversion report
The tiles above the board show:
- Open deals: the value of everything in Lead, Contacted and Quote.
- Win rate: won deals out of all closed deals.
- Days to win: the average days from creation to won.
- Won: the number and value of won deals.
Pick a person in the owner list and select Search to see only their deals.
Good to know
- The five stages are fixed: Lead → Contacted → Quote → Won / Lost. A deal can move from any stage to any other; Reopen brings a won or lost deal back to Lead.
- The History keeps every move, with who and when. A lost deal keeps why it was lost.
- Books quotes: the list offers only this month's quotes. For an older quote, type its number; the deal then shows the number without a link.
- A deal that has not moved for the days set in Settings → CRM settings (14 by default) raises a Deal stuck owner alert. See CRM reports and alerts.
- Deal files are stored privately and deleted with your account. There is no preview: select a file to download it.
- The board moves deals with buttons, not by dragging.
- A deal hangs on a customer of your customer list; there are no separate leads with their own contacts.
