Transfer stock between branches
A transfer takes goods out of one branch and puts them into another, with a numbered note you print and send along with the goods.
Before you start
- Your organisation needs two or more branches, and a plan that includes branch transfers.
- You need the right Inventory, receiving, stock-take. A person limited to some branches can only send from their own.
Steps: make a transfer
- Open Inventory → Transfers.
- Pick the From branch and the To branch.
- Scan or type each product in Product or barcode and type the Qty.
- Add a Note if you want one.
- Select Transfer. Kluvan shows the numbered note, for example Transfer #18, with the lines and their value at cost.
- Select Print the note and send it with the goods.
Past transfers lists every earlier transfer with its date, branches, lines and who made it.

Steps: move slow stock to where it sells
- Open Inventory → Slow and dead stock and pick the Branch that holds the slow stock.
- Read the Sells at column: each other branch where the same product sells, its rate there, what it holds, the days that lasts, and how many to move.
- Select Create transfer on one product, or Move all suggested to a branch for every suggested product.
- Kluvan opens the numbered transfer note, ready to print.
Good to know
- By default, the goods leave one branch and arrive in the other in one step. If a manager chooses Travel until the other branch receives them in Settings → Warehouses, the goods are on their way until the receiving branch counts them: see Send a transfer in transit.
- A transfer cannot send more than the branch holds.
- The suggestion keeps enough at the sending branch for its own expected sales, and never sends more than the other branch needs to reach its reorder target.
- What is on its way to a branch counts as "on order" in reorder suggestions, so it is never ordered twice.
- The weekly slow-stock alert and the summary mail say how many products could move and where.
