Check stock levels and movements
The stock page shows what each branch holds right now, what it is worth at cost, and which products are low, out or expiring. The movements page answers "why is the stock 3?".
Before you start
- You need the right Inventory, receiving, stock-take.
- Only products with a Full stock above 0 are counted: see Add a product.
Steps: see your stock
- Open Inventory → Current stock.
- Read the stock value and the counts of low, out-of-stock and expiring products at the top.
- Use the tabs to filter the list: All, Running low, Out of stock, Expiring or Expired.
- Use Search to find a product. Red lines are out of stock or expired; orange lines are low or expiring soon.
- Select Print the stock list for a printable list.

Steps: correct a quantity
- On Current stock, scroll to Set stock below the list.
- Pick the product in Name.
- Type the New quantity and a Reason.
- Select Save. The difference is recorded as a movement with your name.
The Set expiry box next to it sets a product's expiry date the same way.
For a whole shelf or the whole branch, use a stock-take instead: see Count your stock.
Steps: see why a figure changed
- Open Inventory → Movements, or select Movements on a product's line of Current stock.
- Pick a product.
- Choose a Period: Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, or Custom dates.
- Select Show. Each line shows the time, the Kind, the Change, the balance After, the Reference and the User.

Good to know
- Stock is kept per branch. If you use Warehouses, each back store, central warehouse or van has its own stock as well.
- The stock value uses each product's cost, the same figure Books uses to value stock.
- A correction never deletes history: every change is a movement you can trace.
- To see expiry by delivery, switch on lots: see Track lots and expiry dates.
