Switch on Learning and choose who runs it

Learning stays hidden until a manager switches it on. Every team member can then take the training assigned to them; you decide who makes courses and who follows the results.

Before you start

• You must be the owner or a manager.
• Learning is sold on its own and comes with Kluvan One and the trial. See Plans and bundles.

Steps

1. Open Settings → Apps, find Learning and choose Switch on. See Pick your apps.
2. Open Team → Users, pick a person and open Rights. Under Learning:
   • Take own assigned training is ticked for every member by default.
   • Make courses, assign them, record completions is for the people who run training.
   • See the training matrix of own branch is for branch managers who follow results.
3. Select Save.
4. Open Learning → Learning settings.
5. Set Warn before a refresher is due (days): 30 by default.
6. Set Remind before a due date (days): 7 by default.
7. Tick Put late and expiring training on the person's manager's attention list if managers should be told.
8. Tick Keep a certificate in Documents on the person's record if you use Documents.
9. Select Save.

Good to know

• Managers have every Learning right. Field and restricted seats can take their training; making courses and the matrix need a full seat.
• Who the manager is. The person's manager in HR; without one, the owner and the managers.
• The sidebar shows My training to everyone, and Run training (Courses, Assignments, Compliance) to the people who make courses or read the matrix.
• Learning works without HR. Team members are the learners; HR adds job titles, departments, start dates and managers.
• Learning records training. It does not certify anyone for a regulator.
