Switch on Social and choose who approves posts

Early access

This feature is in early access: it is built and tested, but not yet switched on for every organisation or not yet tried with the outside provider. Ask us on WhatsApp if you would like to try it.

Social settings decide who must approve a post, which language a new post starts in, and which Inbox team gets the conversations from your social accounts.

Important. Social is in early access. Its pages work, but connecting Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn needs Kluvan's approval by Meta and LinkedIn, which has not been granted yet. Until then the platforms show not set up yet.

Before you start

  • Social comes with Kluvan One. An owner or a manager switches it on in Settings → Apps. See Pick your apps.
  • For comments and messages to be collected, the Inbox must be on too. Pictures for posts come from Documents.
  • Give each person the rights they need in Roles and rights:
    • Write social posts and send them for approval: writers.
    • Approve, schedule and publish social posts: publishers.
    • Connect social accounts and change Social settings: the person who manages the accounts.

Steps

  1. Switch on Social in Settings → Apps.
  2. Open Social settings.
  3. Tick Every post needs a second person's approval if every post, even a publisher's, must be approved by someone else. Leave it off and publishers schedule directly; only the others' posts are approved.
  4. Tick Comments on our posts become Inbox conversations (messages always do) if comments should reach the Inbox.
  5. Under A new post starts in, pick a language, or The interface language.
  6. Under Inbox team for social conversations, pick a team, or The Inbox's own routing.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Connect your accounts. See Connect your social accounts.

Good to know

  • Approvers and deadlines are set in Settings → Workflows, in the approval rules for social posts. By default, anyone with the publish right can approve.
  • Without the Inbox, the Social pages say comments and messages are not collected until it is on. Publishing works without it.
  • Without Documents, posts cannot carry pictures.
  • Switching Social off hides its pages; nothing is deleted.
  • Related: Schedule, approve and publish a post.
