Use the bell and choose your notifications
Kluvan separates two things. What needs you (an approval waiting, a task, a failing connection) sits on Today and under Needs you until it is done. What happened (a decision on your request, a mention, a hand-over) goes to the bell. You choose which notices also reach you by e-mail.
Before you start
- Everyone has a bell and their own notification settings. No right is needed.
Steps
Read the bell
- Select the bell at the top of any page. For you lists the latest notices, newest first; select one to open what it is about.
- Select Notifications at the bottom for the full list. The owner also sees All alerts for the owner alerts.
Work the Notifications page
- Under Needs you, each item has Open, Done, Snooze (1, 3 or 7 days) and Dismiss. To dismiss, type Why (required to dismiss) first.
- Below, pick a tab: All, For you, Mentions or System.
- Select a notice to open it and mark it read, or select Mark … read to mark them all.
Choose what reaches you
- On Notifications, select Notification settings.
- For each kind, such as An approval waits for you, Your request was decided, You were mentioned or A connection is failing, tick In the app and choose E-mail: Off, Daily digest or At once.
- Under Quiet hours and digest, tick No e-mail or WhatsApp during quiet hours, set From and To, tick Send me a daily e-mail digest and choose the hour.
- Select Save.
Mentions
When a colleague mentions you in an Inbox note, you get You were mentioned in the bell and under the Mentions tab, and the conversation appears in your Mentions view in the Inbox (see notes and mentions).
Good to know
- Always in the app. Approvals waiting for you and security notices cannot be switched off in the app.
- Told once. Each notice reaches you once per channel, even when two servers handle it.
- E-mail health. An address that bounced gets no e-mail; the notice still arrives in the app.
- WhatsApp. The settings page has a WhatsApp column, but WhatsApp notices to staff are not connected: ticking it sends nothing today.
- The digest is one e-mail a day after your hour, outside your quiet hours, with what waited for you.
- What the Inbox sends: a conversation assigned or handed to you, a mention, a reply due soon or past its deadline, a conversation back from snooze, and the Front Desk (AI) passing a customer to the team.
