Write a scorecard
A scorecard is each interviewer's written view of a candidate: answers to the same questions for everyone, and a recommendation. The candidate's page shows every card and an average score out of 5.
Before you start
- You must be an interviewer on one of the candidate's interviews, or work the opening (a hiring manager or someone with Create openings, move candidates and hire).
Steps
- Open the candidate: from the link in your notice, from Today, or from Recruitment → Openings.
- Under Scorecards, select Write my scorecard.
- In For, pick the interview. People who work the opening without interviewing can pick General impression.
- Answer the questions. A rating goes from 1 to 5.
- Pick a Recommendation: Strong yes, Yes, No or Strong no.
- Select Save. The message Your scorecard is saved. appears.

Set the questions new openings start with
- Open Recruitment → Recruitment settings and open Scorecard new openings start with.
- Change a Question, tick Required, or tick Remove.
- To add one, type it in New question, pick the Answer (Rating 1 to 5, Short text, Long text, Number, Choice or Tick box), and for a choice type the Choices, separated by commas.
- Select Save.
Good to know
- The default questions are Skills, Experience, Communication, Fit with the team and Comments.
- Each opening keeps its own copy of the questions, taken from the settings when the opening is created.
- One card per interviewer per interview. Writing again for the same interview replaces your card.
- Who reads the cards. People who work the opening read every card. An interviewer reads their own.
- The average score is the mean of the ratings on every card, shown to one decimal.
- Keep questions about the work. The settings page reminds you not to ask for a photo, age, religion or other personal traits.
- A missing scorecard shows on the interviewer's Today as Write your scorecard.
- Next: Send an offer letter.
