Switch on Recruitment and choose who sees it
Recruitment stays hidden until a manager switches it on. Then you decide who may see openings, who may hire, who sees salaries, and how long the data of candidates you did not hire is kept.
Before you start
- You must be the owner or a manager.
- Recruitment comes with the HR app, so your plan must include HR or be Kluvan One. See Plans and bundles.
- Invite the people who will hire as users first. See Invite your team.
Steps
- Open Settings → Apps, find Recruitment and choose Switch on. See Pick your apps.
- Open Team → Users, pick a person and open Rights. Under Recruitment, tick what they need:
- See openings and candidates of their branches
- Create openings, move candidates and hire
- See salary bands and offers
- Recruitment settings, retention and erasure
- Select Save.
- Open Recruitment → Recruitment settings. The card Your careers page shows your careers page's address.
- Under Careers page, privacy and retention, set Keep a closed candidate's data (months): 12 by default.
- Set the months for candidates who agreed to be kept for future openings: 24 by default.
- Tick Tell the hiring managers about each new application if they should get a notice for each one.
- Write the Words above the openings on the careers page and the Privacy note shown above the consent boxes.
- Select Save.

Good to know
- Managers have every recruitment right. Team members have only the rights you tick.
- Hiring managers need no right. A person you name as a hiring manager on an opening sees that opening and works its candidates (moves, notes, interviews), whatever their other rights. See Create a job opening.
- Interviewers see the candidates they meet and write their own scorecard. They do not see the timeline or the offer amount.
- Salaries stay hidden from anyone without See salary bands and offers, on every page.
- If your organisation has no public address yet, the settings page says so and links to Settings → Online.
- The other cards on the settings page are explained in their own articles: the stages in Move candidates through the stages, the scorecard in Write a scorecard, the letter templates in Send an offer letter, and the old applicants in Move applicants from the old hiring page.
- Retention and erasure: Keep and erase candidates' data.
- More on rights: Roles and rights.
