Get started with Trade Business

Trade Business is the bundle for organisations that buy and sell goods: wholesalers, distributors, importers and suppliers to other businesses. It follows the goods from the purchase request to the shelf, the trade order, the invoice and the money collected.

What the bundle includes

AppWhat you use it for
InventoryProducts, stock per branch, counts, reorder points, lots and expiry, and Warehouses with locations.
ProcurementPurchase requests, approvals, supplier quotes, receiving and the invoice match.
TradeAgreements and offers for business customers, trade orders with credit checks, partial shipments and returns, and Resellers.

QualityInspections of deliveries and products, supplier quality, non-conformances and corrective actions.

Every paid plan also carries Studio, the Owner workspace and access for your accountant.

Your first week

  1. Set up your organisation. Enter its name, address and tax number, and add a branch for each warehouse or office. See Set up your organisation and branches.
  2. Switch on the apps. Open Settings → Apps and choose Switch on on Inventory and Books first, then on Procurement, Trade and Collections, which need them. See Pick your apps.
  3. Invite your team with the right seats. Office and sales staff get a full seat, drivers and store keepers a field seat, and everyone else a restricted seat. The bundle includes seats of all three types. See Invite your team and Seats.
  4. Bring your data. Import your products, your opening stock, and your customers and suppliers with their balances. See Bring your data and Import and export products.
  5. Set up Books. Enter your tax identity, bank accounts and opening balances. See Set up Books.

The first real job in each app

  1. Inventory: check the imported products, count your stock once, and set what to reorder when it runs low.
  2. Procurement: set up Procurement, raise and approve a purchase request, then receive the goods and match the invoice.
  3. Trade: set up an agreement and an offer for your biggest customer, then take and ship a trade order.
  4. Books: issue the invoice and record a supplier bill.
  5. Collections: switch on the credit book and reminders, see who owes you and send today's reminders.
  6. Resellers: if you sell through partners, set them up: see Resellers.

Good to know

  • During the 30-day trial every app is open. After it, the apps outside the bundle switch off; their records are kept.
  • Several people can count stock from their phones at the same time.
  • To add an app outside the bundle, such as Production or HR, see Change your plan or add an app.
  • Every bundle side by side: Plans and bundles.
